Christmas Wreath Making Workshop – Saturday 2nd December 1-4pm or Wednesday 6th December 1-4pm & 6.30-9.30pm

Come and join us for this workshop for adults and make a beautiful Christmas wreath to welcome all your guests this festive season.  This workshop is suitable for complete beginners will full tuition.  Starting with either a holly or conifer wreath base and with a bounty of foliage, ribbons and decorations at your fingertips, you will learn lots of different ways to create a wonderful wreath that will wow your friends and family.  With a mince pie and glass of mulled wine, this is a perfect pre-Christmas treat for you to come and enjoy with friends.

A Victorian Christmas Celebration – Saturday 16th December 12-4pm

A Victorian Christmas for everyone – a fund day of festive entertainments for all the family.  Meet Father Christmas, listen to carols from Northampton School for Boys and visit the magic lantern show.  Take part in Christmas crafts and make your own bauble, cracker, cards and decorations.  Tempt your tastebuds with festive treats including mince pies, mulled wine, gingerbread men and hog roast.

A Christmas Carol – Sunday 17th December 4.30 – 6.30pm

James Hornsby returns to the museum for another of his one-man plays with a host of Charles Dickens’ wonderful characters, including Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, etc and of course the miserly Ebernezer Scrooge.  All brought to life in the style of Dickens’ own legendary public readings.

Suitable for adults and families – recommended for children eight and over.  Refreshments will be available to buy.

Another Look Back at Northamptonshire – Saturday 20th January 2018 1.30- 3.30pm

Northamptonshire Film Archive Trust returns to present a new selection of archive film including a further look behind the scenes at Northampton General Hospital and footage of the construction of Pitsford Reservoir around 1956.
