Northampton not-for-profit organisations, community groups and charities can now apply for Northampton Borough Council’s Partnership Fund grants aiming to support them do positive work in the community.
The fund offers grants between £3,000 and £15,000 to registered charities, unregistered voluntary or community groups, registered charitable companies charitable incorporated organisations and social enterprises.
The grant is designed to help small Northampton based voluntary and community organisations to deliver local projects or activities, such as community events, training and equipment.
To be eligible for the grant, the organisation must be able to demonstrate how the funded project will meet at least one of the Council’s priorities:
– Keeping the town and people safe
– Empowering local people
– More homes, better homes
A stronger economy:
– Shaping place and driving growth
– Creating a thriving, vibrant town
– A clean, green and tidy town
Organisations wanting to find out more about the funding available and the application process can attend the Partnership Fund Grant Showcase event at the Guildhall on 16 January from 3pm. At the event, attendees will be able to talk to organisations, such as Northampton Men’s Sheds, Spencer Contact, Northamptonshire Rape Crisis, The Lowdown, ReStore Northampton and HomeStart Northampton, Tools for Self-Reliance, who have recently benefitted from the Partnership Fund grants.

Northampton Borough Council Cabinet member for community engagement and safety, Cllr Anna King, said: “The Partnership Fund grant can make a real difference in supporting local charitable and support organisations to continue the work they do to make a real difference in our community.
