Following on from its recent outstanding success in raising a phenomenal final total of £15,500 for Prostate Cancer UK, Northampton Male Voice Choir (NMVC) has once again retained the Challenge Cup in the highly competitive Open Choirs section in the Northampton Eisteddfod held in May. The men of NMVC faced some very stiff competition indeed from The Melody Choir (Kettering), Junction 14 Ladies A Cappella Chorus (Milton Keynes) and the Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) Community Choir – all of which gave truly fabulous performances. After all the singing was over, NMVC were rated “outstanding” by the adjudicator who, in presenting the choir with the Challenge Cup, commented that “This was a most moving and exceptional performance. A choir full of wonderful team work, great singers and real discipline”.

NMVC is looking forward to continuing what will be another extremely busy concert season with over 20 more concerts and events still to go before the end of 2018. For a full concert list and further details about the choir please check out the NMVC website on
