Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a charity, founded in 1982, to provide hearing dogs for people who are deaf.
The dogs are trained to react to sounds in order to warn their owner of any danger such as smoke alarms. They also fetch their owner when the door bell rings or the cooker timer sounds. When the wakeup alarm sounds, they jump on the bed!
A fund raising group for Northamptonshire was formed last year. We are busy organising a fun day, which will be a Dog Show on Saturday, 7th September from 1pm – 4.30pm at Parklands Community Centre. Everyone is welcome.
