Northamptonshire and Performing Arts Trust is spending the spring term (February –
April) bringing together all generations of each musical ensemble family through a series of
concerts. Sharing inspiration and aspiration, junior, training and senior “youth” ensembles will

Wind Band Spectaculars on Sundays 8 th and 15 th March 2020 respectively, at Derngate,
Northampton.
Orchestra Spectacular

On the 8 th March, Zingaresque will be performing in the foyer before the concert. Zingaresque
is a world music ensemble who collaborate within the group and perform a number of student
arrangements. Most members also play in other county ensembles and we hope they, along
with 1,000 other young musicians who audition annually to be a member of one of our
ensembles, continue to progress through the ranks to the youth level groups.

Both events form part of the Spring Festival of Music, along with Big Band Night (Saturday 8 th
Feb, Wicksteed Park), Highly Strung (Saturday 29 th Feb, Spinney Theatre), Guitar-
stravaganza (Saturday 7 th March, Northampton High School), Brass Band Spectacular
(Sunday 29 th March, Spinney Theatre) and Spring Song (Wednesday 1 st April, St Matthew’s
Church).
